Over 60 year of fine folk music!
The Bridge Folk Club is one of the two oldest folk clubs in the country and has been a world famous venue since 1958. No other club has run for so long in the same venue and it has been host to many of the great legends of folk.
Our guest nights feature local, national and occasionally international artists.
Every week you are guaranteed fine singers and musicians. We focus on traditional material, particularly from Tyneside and the North East, but other styles of acoustic music within the same spirit are welcomed.
Feel free to perform if you come to visit us - there are more floor spots available on singers nights.
As well as the long-established members we have regular nights featuring the Folk Degree Students at Newcastle University, a stunningly talented group of people.
The club does not operate on Bank holidays, Christmas or New Year.
The pub is a classic Victorian delight, with a great range of traditional and modern craft beers.
We don’t have a bookings policy that is set in stone but we do have guidelines. If you think you might be right for a gig at The Bridge and you’d like us to consider you for our calendar please make yourself a cuppa and read through this information.
